That said, there are petty thieves, bag-snatchers and pickpockets in the country, just like you’d expect in many other places. Also, be careful of people trying to pull elaborate scams on the streets. Be vigilant and don’t display large sums of money too openly. 

Some street traders are persistent and may trial you for several blocks. In this regard, it’ll be better to walk with a tour guide, who’ll keep them off you. 

Health On Senegal Trip

It can get really hot in the country, so you’ll need to try as much as possible to monitor your hydration levels. Drink lots of water, along with prescription hydration salts. 

Avoid drinking tap water as much as water. Instead, drink bottled water. It’s readily available throughout the water, and pretty inexpensive. 

Malaria is a serious challenge in the country, and apart from a few private hospitals in the capital, most medical facilities are not equipped to handle serious cases of illness. Visa Requirements For Senegal Trip

Senegal Trip offers entry without visas to citizens of countries who are members of the ECOWAS. People from the European Union member states can also get into Senegal without needing a visa, for up to 90 days. 

If you’re not from any of these countries, you’d need to obtain a visa before entry into Senegal is granted. However, a visa can easily be procured in the country. You’d also need a passport that’s valid six months before entry. 

Proof of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required, although not strictly enforced.
